Television – See From A Distance

television, vision

Before an idea is birthed into reality, most people go about life without knowing what they are missing. In 1900 moving pictures and sound were not on the radar of 99% of the earth's population. Neither was the radar. So if this was written in that time frame I would say "not on the horizon." They had horizons in the 1800s. Not only did 1800s folk not have radar but they did not have televisions and video. Now more than 2 billion people have that in their pocket in the form of a smartphone. In college I had no phone. I also did not carry around a camera or radio. I carried books and they were not digital. That was less than 17 years ago. Now, I won't even walk around the house without this high-powered "microcomputer/phone/camera/radio/fill in the blank" in my pocket. What is now a necessity was once not even thought of. I was somehow able to function in life without a smartphone as were you, but no one knows how we were able to do that. A dream became a reality therefore changing the course of history. Many solutions are found despite the masses being completely unaware of the problem. The average citizen in the 1800s did not worry about the lack of moving images in the world. On the other hand, there were a select few who saw what could not be seen and made it their mission so others could see. The development of the television took the creative intelligence of several dreamers. It was not created in a vacuum … tube. Ha! Television humor! One discovery led to another. New breakthroughs built on old ones. The discoveries and improvements continue on today. Now we have 4K resolution TVs that are actually more vivid than real life. These advancements would not have happened without the work and genius of many others. This is the Kingdom of God … every joint supplies.
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. - Ephesians 4:15-16
With God as our source of wisdom and direction, we all have a part to play. Every dream is valid because every dream is sent by God to address a need on the earth. We do not need to create the television from the ground up. Others have gone before us with momentous breakthroughs. It is our turn to take what they have done and go further than ever before. Someone is looking for what you have. Not just looking, though, they need it. They can't go without it. They may not know it yet, but when you show up carrying your God-inspired solution they will. They will not be able to live like they used to. You have introduced them to a new way of living. Television can be defined as “to see from a distance.” What can you see? It may be far off, but can you see it? The dream is no longer a hope filled thought. The dream is real. It is changing lives. What is your “television” tuned to? What can you see from a distance?
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." — these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. - 1 Corinthian 2:9-12
While the world may not see or understand it, God sees it. God sees it in you. He “has revealed” them to us, as well. He has already prepared the dream. He is asking you to see what He sees. Can you?
